Qualifications: Graduate / BE in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Industrial Engineering (or related field)

Work Experience: 35 years in procurement or supply chain within the construction or manufacturing industry (US project experience preferred)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented GlobalProcurement Engineer to manage sourcing building materials, vendor coordination, material planning, and procurement of critical components used in our Panelized Building Systems (Light Gauge Steel (LGS) multi-trade panels). The ideal candidate will ensure timely procurement, cost efficiency, compliance with specifications, and smooth coordination with engineering, factory, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage procurement plans aligned with project schedules and engineering requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors for steel coils, electrical components, plumbing materials, sheathing, insulation, finishing materials and other construction materials.
  • Prepare and manage RFQs/RFPs, compare quotations, and perform commercial/technical evaluations.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and long-term supply contracts to achieve cost savings.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Verify material specifications, mill test certificates, compliance documents, and other quality standards.
  • Track and monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor performance.
  • Maintain procurement documentation including material approvals, order logs, vendor records, and compliance files.
  • Support & develop international procurement including customs coordination, freight handling, and import documentation (where applicable).
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement, supply chain, or material management (construction/manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, vendors, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with ERP/inventory management systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management abilities.
  • Knowledge of international procurement, Incoterms, shipping, and customs processes is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
