Job Description

Overview

  • This position is responsible to lead the India Procurement in development and implementation of strategies to Manage and direct all functions related to the efficient Procurement of all raw materials and indirect for the Channo and Ujain Plants, including contracts negotiation for Capital Projects, ensuring full compliance to PepsiCo and PGCS GP Policies and related controls.
  • Develop and lead long term sourcing strategy for Ingredients/Packaging/Flavours with a total spend of US$105 MM with local vendors and global vendors (196)
  • Develop and lead long term sourcing strategy for Indirects with a total spend of US$19 MM with local vendors.
  • Develop Business Continuity Plan for all materials/categories in scope.
  • Partner & engage with senior stakeholders (Sector MSO's, Global Categories, Supply Chain) to design and implement sourcing strategy for all categories in scope and to execute category strategies on a local basis for spend managed via global categories.
  • Manage executive level, cross functional priorities and relationships to deliver sustainable year on year benefits on Productivity and Cash Flow and accomplish function strategic objectives.
  • Develop internal capability and organization for Global Procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the overall annual capacity and supply plan for local suppliers.
  • Supports day to day and week to week supplier order execution and performance
  • Projects risk and balance of year changes occurring in ingredient/packaging/flavours requirements and associated supplier capacity for categories in scope.
  • Performs analysis that highlights trends, drivers, and issues with our requirements and supply plan
  • Educates the organization on ingredient/packaging/flavours supplier capability and capacity constraints impacting our business plan
  • Develops quarterly and annual capacity plans for local suppliers.
  • Leads Period Supplier Capacity Review Calls with Plant leadership.
  • Leads continuous improvement projects
  • Supports Global Procurement Operations Director in root cause analysis related to actual and potential finished good production misses due to ingredient constraints in order to improve Out of Stock (OOS) and Out of Network (OON) results
  • Lead creation and execution of procurement strategy for Ingredients/Packaging/Flavours and Indirects for local suppliers and pro-actively manage any potential challenges. Ensure Ingredients productivity pipeline delivers +8% annual net productivity and comply with function CF objectives by driving increase in payment terms across Ingredients supply base (DICE)
  • Ensure all Ingredients/Packaging/Flavours and Indirects for local suppliers required are appropriately negotiated and all contracts are in place / managed & administered in accordance with Global Procurement Policies and KPI's.
  • Work closely with sector stakeholders to ensure deep understanding of functional needs and develop strategies to ensure maximum business value is generated from theIngredients/Packaging/Flavours and Indirects procurement strategies.
  • Design/Implement organisation bench by increasing internal procurement capabilities and category expertise: recruit, coach, develop and promote talents to enable breakthrough ideas capturing from suppliers and ensure their implementation improve value for the Business, reduce Total Cost of Ownership and optimise cash flow.
  • Responsible for the development, execution and follow up of Risk Management initiatives aimed to reduce the supply risk (BCP), currency exposure and no sustainable supply practices.
  • Lead governance framework design, execution and maintanence for all procurement categories within the sector, including but not limited to compliance with Global Procurement Policies, Contracts, Bidding, SAP, Audits, etc.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Finance, Commerce degree, Master preferred
  • Excellent Functional knowledge (10+ years in Leading Procurement roles): Depth of different aspects of Procurement such as sourcing, category management, processes and tools in a VUCA environment, preferably within Food & Beverage industry
  • Breath / Depth experience in sourcing processes and procurement best practices, with experience of implementing them in a global environment
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills - excellent negotiator and strong communication and influencing skills to all organizational levels and particularly at executive level. Demonstrated ability to develop credible business relationships with Operations Directors, Procurement Directors, Supply Chain Managers and VP.
  • High level of business acumen
  • Solid/Strong understanding of general business economics and key quality and cost drivers
  • Strong analytical & financial skills
  • Organizational savvy
  • Ability to translate complex situations into executive level communication
  • Ability to lead and influence large teams based in different locations globally, whom not report directly to the position.

  • Excellent language skills -English essential, both verbal and in writing.
