Job Description

Designation: General Manager - Global Operations (Finished Dosage Form Business)

Business Unit & Location: Formulations - MSN Group, Hyderabad, India

Reports to: Senior Leadership

Objective:

This role leads global end-to-end operations for MSN's finished dosage formulations portfolio across the US, EU, Australia, China, Korea, India and Canada regions/markets.

Responsibilities include operational strategy, supply assurance, compliance alignment, launch readiness, and P&L-linked operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Operations & Strategy

  • Define and execute global operations strategy supporting business growth & capacity planning.
  • Monitor operational excellence initiatives to ensure cost efficiency, yield improvement, and productivity.

2. Supply Continuity & Market fulfilment

  • Work with SBUs on S&OP/IBP processes driving forecast accuracy and service level improvement.
  • Ensure OTIF delivery, risk mitigation & supply security for regulated and emerging markets.

3. Manufacturing & Quality Coordination

  • Align with Demand/Supply teams for volume commitments, batch priorities, RM/PM readiness, and QA release schedules.
  • Plan tech transfers, scale-ups, and commercialization of new launches globally.

4. Regulatory & Compliance Governance

  • Ensure operational adherence to FDA, EMA, TGA, Health Canada, MFDS, NMPA, CDSCO expectations

5. Performance & Cost Analytics

  • Track operational KPIs (lead times, COGS, yield, logistics cost) SBU wise
  • Implement digital dashboards for real-time performance visibility.

6. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Interface with Sales, QA, RA, Commercial, Finance, SCM, Demand/Supply planning & Logistics to maintain patient supply reliability.
  • Lead issue escalation globally and ensure timely closure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy; MBA preferred.
  • 12–18+ years in Pharmaceutical Global Operations (Finished Dosage Forms mandatory).
  • Strong exposure to regulated markets — especially US & EU.
  • Proven leadership managing cross-regional operations teams.
  • Proficient in SAP / ERP planning tools; strong business & financial acumen.

Preferred Experience

  • Generics industry exposure
  • Solid/Injectable formulations operational expertise
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with global product launches
