The opportunity
Join our Global Quality team within Hitachi Energy's High Voltage business and help shape the future of Master Data Management across a global organization.

In this role, you will define and drive the governance framework for master data across the High Voltage business. Working closely with senior stakeholders across functions, you will improve data quality, establish clear ownership, and help create the trusted data foundations needed to support digitalization, automation, and future business growth.

You will play a key role in aligning business and functional teams around common standards, governance processes, and data quality objectives. The position offers broad exposure across the organization and the opportunity to influence how critical business data is managed and utilized globally.

Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to drive change across a complex international organization, and a genuine interest in improving business processes through effective data governance. The role was established to strengthen governance, improve cross-functional alignment, and support long-term business transformation initiatives.

How you'll make an impact

  • Define and govern the global Master Data Management (MDM) framework across the High Voltage business.
  • Identify critical master data objects, ownership structures, lifecycle requirements, and business usage.
  • Establish governance processes, standards, roles, and responsibilities for master data management.
  • Drive organizational adoption of master data governance practices and support change management initiatives across the business.
  • Partner with business and functional stakeholders to align priorities and master data requirements.
  • Drive initiatives that improve data quality, consistency, transparency, and trust across systems and processes.
  • Support digitalization and AI readiness through scalable and reliable data foundations.
  • Monitor master data performance through KPIs, governance reviews, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to harmonize master data processes globally.
  • Lead improvement initiatives that strengthen data management capabilities and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Your background

  • Experience working with master data, data governance, data management, process management, business process improvement, or related disciplines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating across functions and organizational levels, including the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Experience leading change, improvement, or transformation initiatives in a global business environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data topics into practical business improvements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with digitalization, automation, AI-enabled processes, or enterprise data governance practices is considered an advantage.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

  • Italy: Starting from 3733 € gross per month
  • Bulgaria: Starting from 2242 € gross per month
