BCG's Digital Platform Engineering (DPE) group is accelerating global digital transformation by building modern, scalable, cloud-native engineering platforms that power internal products, data-driven solutions, and client-facing applications.

As a Lead Full Stack Web Developer - AI SDK, you will serve as a hands-on technical leader within the Application Frameworks squad-guiding architectural decisions, elevating engineering standards, and delivering high-performance web applications built on modern MEAN/MERN stacks and cloud-native design patterns.

This role requires an expert full-stack engineer who can design distributed systems, mentor developers, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive innovation in areas such as microservices, serverless computing, and emerging AI-driven development frameworks (GenAI, LangChain, Vector DBs, MCP servers).

You will collaborate with architects, chapter leads, product managers, and global engineering teams to define the technical roadmap, own end-to-end solution delivery, and scale frameworks used across BCG's worldwide digital ecosystem.

What You'll Bring

Must haves:

• 10-14+ years relevant full stack development experience
• Architect, develop, and optimize scalable web applications using React/Angular, Node.js, Express.js/NestJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and best-in-class UI frameworks.
• Understanding of LangChain, Vector Databases, MCP server patterns, GenAI-assisted development, or LLM-based automation.
• Build resilient APIs, microservices, and backend systems with strong focus on performance, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement caching strategies with Redis, optimize databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB), and tune queries for high throughput.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform, and IaC best practices.
• Ensure exceptional code quality through unit testing (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Cypress) and automated QA integration.
• Lead and mentor a squad of frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers-coaching them on design, architecture, and development excellence.
• Engage with product owners, designers, architects, and QA to translate business needs intoscalable engineering solutions.
• Ensure secure coding practices, authentication/authorization standards (JWT, OAuth, Cognito), and compliance with enterprise security guidelines.
• Lead root-cause analysis, production readiness, incident response, and performance audits.

Good to have:

• Knowledge of Python for backend microservices or AI components.
• Experience with GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets, Socket.io.
• Experience integrating CMS tools (Contentful, Storyblock ).
• Performance engineering experience-profiling, load testing, SRE principles.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/ECS for container orchestration.
• Prior consulting experience in global, fast-paced environments.
