What You'll Do

AsSoftware EngineerAssociate, you will have overall technical responsibility for design, development and technical support of BCG's global Staffing applications. You will work with a team of internal and external developers, as well as a cross-functional team consisting of Project Managers, Business Analysts, and others to provide high quality applications which respond to and meet the business needs of the entire BCG organization. You will be expected to participate in hands-on development activities as well as providing technical guidance and oversight of development activities to successfully execute projects.Have overall responsibility for the health of our Staffing applications, in terms of quality of the program code and operational effectiveness, from a technical standpoint.

What You'll Bring

Education

• College degree and2-3years of experience in the development of business applications in a commercial IT setting, or in consulting

Experience/Knowledge

• Strong experience developing standards-compliant Web applications using front-end Web technologies such asAngular 5 and above,HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, XMLetc.
• Significant experience developing Web applications/services with Microsoft ASP.NET/MVC, C# andNode.
• Strong experience with a commercial RDBMS, preferably Oracle or SQL Serverand No SQL likeMangoDB.
• Strong experience with code versioning toolsGit/TFS.
• Experience withAzure.
• DBT command and Snowflake experience is good to have
• Experiencein Docker Containerization Technologies.
• Experience in working in an Agile environment.
• Experience working and supporting external application development providers.
• Good to have some knowledge of mobile application development experience,especiallywith iOS.

You're Good At

• Design and developWebapplications built with the Microsoft stack(.Net Core, API), Oracle RDBMS, SQLServer,NoSQLandIIS Web configuration/management.

• SOA & Microservices architecture implementation using REST APIs, queue-based messaging patterns, exposure toMulesoft/Kong is a plus

• Development experience in Microsoft .Net Framework and experience in Front-end JavaScript frameworks like Angular & React

• Experience working on AI/Gen AI implementations and underlying architecture, and models

• Having sound knowledge of Dev-Sec-Ops & Dev-Ops.

• Setting up/Maintaining integrations with SaaS/Cloud based applications.

• Experience of IAM Security.

• Troubleshoot reported production tickets and provide timely analysis and resolution

• Stay abreast of development tools, trends and practices, and act as an advocate and promoter for itemsthat should be considered for future initiatives

• Direct external developers, providing technical guidance and performing code reviews to ensure qualityand adherence to group standards.

• Keeping IT Roadmap in mind, being an IT thought partner to the business and creating highly scalable applications.

• Keeping Technical Debt to the bare minimum.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with product owners/ business analysts and understand requirements carefully and execute.
