The Global HR Director is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for architecting and executing the global people strategy to support business growth. This role oversees the full HR portfolio such as people strategy, workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance & succession, compensation & benefits, employee relations, HR operations/HRIS, compliance, culture & engagement etc. The Global HR Director partners closely with executive leadership and respective HR teams to build scalable, compliant, and high‑impact HR programs.
Job Description
- Act as the primary interface and strategic HR business partner supporting the needs of the assigned business unit to provide quality HR support to optimize people structure, policies and processes in line with the business objectives at the corporate level.
- You will be in charge of leading the full scope of human resources aligned to the global standards, including recruitment, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, compensation & benefit, and employee engagement.
- Managing the work portfolio of respective HR Managers / Personnel of each site including overseeing HR systems, handling employee relations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, assessing staffing needs, hiring employees, designing training programs, and developing compensation plans.
- Liaising with respective HR Managers / Personnel and the Operation Leaders of each site to understand business requirements and provide advise pertaining to HR issues as well as comprehensive HR solutions to organizational issues proactively.
- Analyse HR data and provide reports for management in order to drive strategic action items for the company.
- Proactively identify gaps in the existing processes, propose and implement changes necessary to establish good HR practices.
- Design, own, and continuously evolve the global compensation and benefits strategy to support business growth, talent attraction, retention, and internal equity across all regions.
- Lead org-wide change initiatives with structured change management, stakeholder mapping, and communications.
- Coach leaders on people leadership, performance, and difficult conversations.
- Review, improve and execute corporate HR initiatives and programs.
- Other ad hoc job assigned by reporting manager.
Job Requirement
1. Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
2. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies and initiatives
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation
4. Proficient in HR data analysis and using metrics to drive HR decision-making
5. In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
6. Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
7. Minimal travel frequency required : minimum of 2 times per year to other international sites (US, CN, VN) , and periodic travel as needed to our MY site.
8. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
