GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
This role is responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of Aon's global salary survey participation programme and provides flexible support for other global compensation projects and operational priorities. The role combines end-to-end process ownership, data governance, vendor and stakeholder coordination, analysis, and disciplined execution across multiple countries and survey providers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The colleague is responsible for:
- You will manage the global salary survey participation programme and contribute to broader compensation priorities, including:
- Manage the global survey calendar, participation plan, submission timetable, status tracking, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate directly with survey vendors and with regional and country Compensation teams to determine submission requirements and resolve queries.
- Prepare and submit survey data where activity is managed centrally, or provide clear standards, templates, and oversight where submissions are completed locally.
- Review data, job matches, and submission files for completeness, consistency, and reasonableness, resolving issues and escalating material risks or exceptions.
- Maintain accurate records, process guidance, controls, and reporting to provide visibility of progress, data quality, and outstanding actions.
- Support the NA compensation team to co-ordinate the NA sales plan updates.
- Support short-term global or regional compensation projects, analysis, and operational activity in response to changing business priorities.
Program and Activity Ownership
- Lead the annual end-to-end global salary survey participation process, establishing a practical operating model across central, regional, and country teams.
- Act as the primary operational contact for salary survey vendors, managing queries, timelines, file requirements, access, invoicing, and service issues.
- Develop and maintain global survey participation standards, templates, job-matching guidance, data validation checks, and submission controls.
- Coordinate extraction, preparation, reconciliation, and secure transfer of colleague and compensation data in line with internal controls, confidentiality requirements, and vendor specifications.
- Partner with regional and country Compensation teams to support local participation, monitor delivery, and address gaps, dependencies, or data-quality issues.
- Track survey participation, vendor coverage, contracts, budget, and spend, highlighting duplication, cost pressures, or opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Maintain survey and market-pricing tools, access, reference data, and annual updates, working with relevant system owners and vendors as needed.
- Produce clear management information and insights on participation, data quality, market movement, and survey outcomes to support compensation decision-making.
- Prepare information to inform pay range movement and design as required by the global and regional compensation teams and in preparation for compensation cycle.
- Identify and implement improvements to simplify survey processes, strengthen controls, increase consistency, and make effective use of technology and automation.
- Coordinate the NA sales plan update process, partnering with Sales Operations, Finance, and Legal to align on changes, secure approvals, distribute final documents, and confirm participant sign-off.
- Coordinate or deliver other time-bound global or cross-regional compensation projects, audits, data reviews, and operational activities as priorities require.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :
- Relevant compensation or reward experience, including practical experience of salary survey participation, job matching, market data, or market-pricing tools.
- Experience coordinating multi-country, regional, or global processes involving multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and data sources.
- Strong project and process-management skills, with the ability to establish plans, maintain momentum, manage dependencies, and deliver to agreed standards.
- Sound understanding of compensation principles, including salary structures, market pricing, job evaluation, and data governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience validating, reconciling, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets.
- Confidence working with external vendors and internal stakeholders, with clear communication and the judgement to challenge, resolve, or escalate issues appropriately.
- High attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential colleague and compensation information.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt quickly to short-term project requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, and reporting familiarity with compensation survey or market-pricing systems is preferred.
- A continuous-improvement mindset, with an interest in using technology and automation to strengthen operational delivery.
