Role Description

We are seeking a highly driven Global Business Development Manager to serve as the critical technical bridge between our innovative product teams, sales force, and utility customers. In this high-impact role, you will drive the market adoption of our Energy Interconnection & Orchestration solutions by translating complex utility challenges into scalable, winning technical architectures. You will secure pivotal design-in opportunities that help shape the future of grid modernization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively prospect and engage with key stakeholders across utilities, aggregators, and solar/EV developers to uncover critical pain points.
  • Spearhead deep-dive technical consultations focusing on DERMS, Virtual Power Plants (VPP), and Smart Grid protocols.
  • Partner closely with the sales organization to secure definitive design wins during the early stages of project planning.
  • Take full ownership of the design win lifecycle, orchestrating compelling demonstrations, POCs, and pilot programs.
  • Provide robust technical air cover for the sales team by driving winning RFI/RFP responses, crafting SOWs, and managing successful POCs.
  • Serve as the strategic voice of the customer, directly influencing the Product Management team's product roadmap based on real-world market demands.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. (MBA or advanced degree preferred) .
  • 8 to 15 years of overall experience.
  • 8+ years of proven success in software/complex solution selling, pre-sales, applications engineering, or complex business development within the energy and utility automation sector.

Essential & Preferred Skills:

  • Deep understanding of Grid Modernization and DER Integration.
  • Exceptional presentation and soft skills, with the ability to compellingly articulate complex cloud and edge computing concepts to both technical engineers and C-suite executives.
  • Comprehensive familiarity with the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding DER interconnection, Energy Market participation, Virtual Power Plants, and modern utility business models.
  • Expertise in Smart Grid protocols, specifically IEEE 2030.5 and OpenADR
