Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast paced and challenging area This is a unique opportunity for you to work in our team to partner with the Business to provide a comprehensive view.

As Executive Director - Credit Product Delivery (CPD) within the Global Banking - Credit Product Delivery team you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery and execution oversight across a complex lending and trade finance portfolio. You will provide senior leadership, governance and standards to ensure consistent, timely and client-focused transaction management across regions. You will partner with Bankers, Trade Sales, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance and Operations to drive disciplined execution, transparency and timely resolution across bilateral and syndicated facilities. You will own key performance metrics, capacity planning and controls outcomes, ensuring audit-ready documentation quality and adherence to operating procedures. You will drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives to improve scalability, reduce execution risk and enhance client experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing global CPD team, setting vision, operating cadence and execution standards across time zones.
  • Manage hiring, goal setting, coaching, performance management and succession planning to build a diverse, inclusive, high-engagement culture.
  • Own resource strategy and capacity planning to ensure appropriate coverage for peak demand periods and high-complexity pipelines.
  • Define and monitor performance metrics and reporting (cycle time, quality, rework, escalations, deviations, control adherence) aligned to business outcomes.
  • Build and sustain training and knowledge frameworks to ensure consistent decisioning and high-quality documentation.
  • Oversee end-to-end execution for lending and trade finance transactions, ensuring clear ownership, transparency and timely issue resolution.
  • Provide final-review oversight for negotiation, drafting, review and execution of legal documentation and related corporate authorizations and ancillary documents.
  • Ensure closing readiness and disciplined management of conditions precedent, including audit-ready evidence retention and documentation standards.
  • Act as senior escalation point for complex negotiations, documentation issues and execution challenges, balancing client outcomes and firm controls.
  • Lead governance for documentation deviations/exceptions, coordinating approvals, risk assessment, control requirements and thematic remediation.
  • Drive process optimization, standardization and transformation initiatives to enhance scalability, reduce execution risk and improve client experience.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • 12+ years experience in transaction management/deal execution, credit documentation, trade finance, legal documentation or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of lending and trade finance products and associated legal agreements
  • Senior people leadership experience with a track record of building/scaling teams and developing talent
  • Deep expertise in credit documentation with strong commercial judgment and control-oriented risk mindset
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across regions/functions ability to drive outcomes without direct authority
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex transactions and escalations concurrently in fast-moving environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with senior internal stakeholders and external counterparties
  • Strong governance, risk and controls ownership ability to deliver consistent, audit-ready execution
  • Ability to work shift hours as needed to support APAC or EMEA time zones
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience in law firms, in-house legal teams, legal support teams or paralegal roles
  • Familiarity with LMA-style documentation
  • Proficiency in European languages
