Job Description

We're looking for a GIS Specialist with 1-3 years of experience to help with our Geographic Information Systems operations. The ideal candidate will be familiar with ArcGIS software and have a basic understanding of GIS data management. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow their skills in spatial data analysis, mapping, and database management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mapping & Data Management: You will assist in creating and maintaining GIS maps and spatial datasets using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online. You'll also work with GIS databases (SDE) to store and manage spatial data.
  • Analysis & Collaboration: You'll perform basic spatial analysis to support various projects and work with other teams to integrate GIS data into business processes.
  • Learning & Automation: You'll have the opportunity to learn and use tools like FME Desktop/Server or other open-source GIS software. There's also a chance to support the automation of GIS workflows using scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, SQL, or C#.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Education: A Master's in Geoinformatics or a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Technical Skills: Basic working knowledge of Esri software and GIS principles. Some exposure to database management and spatial data processing is a plus. Experience using GIS in the utility sector is also a bonus.
  • Personal Attributes: You must be a strong problem-solver with great attention to detail. You should also be willing to learn new tools and techniques and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
