GIS Engineer II

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop GIS and Remote Sensing inputs for EES models
• Prepare and manage large-scale GIS datasets ensuring accuracy and usability
• Perform digitization, geo-referencing, re-projection, and raster/vector conversions
• Conduct advanced remote sensing tasks including image classification and topology validation
• Develop and maintain spatial databases and geospatial repositories
• Source, preprocess elevation, land use/land cover, soil, and infrastructure exposure data
• Perform raster-based spatial analysis and geoprocessing for model insights
• Automate GIS workflows using Python and geospatial libraries
• Collaborate with data scientists/modelers to integrate ML/DL for geospatial predictions
• Interpret and validate geospatial results, presenting via reports, maps, charts, dashboards
• Support flood, earthquake, and other risk modeling initiatives
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and standards
• Contribute to technical documentation and client deliverables with professionalism
