What's the role
- We equip automotive innovators, enterprose leaders, GIS specialists and public agencies with all the automotice-grade map data, software tools and AI-powered location intelligence they need to control complexity, accelerate innovation and advance the movement of vehicles, people and goods.
- Role type: Individual Contributor with technical project ownership, leads to solving complex problems, uses sophisticated analytical thinking for decision making and identify innovative solutions.
- Ownership: End-to-end responsibility for one or more critical flows/modules within attributes processing (Access characteristics, TBT, Postal codes, Admin Boundaries, Built Up Areas).
Brief Project overview: (Nature of work)
- Build automated spatial data pipelines: Design, develop, and optimize robust data engineering pipelines that transform and integrate spatial and non-spatial sources into HERE map databases and downstream products
- Operational excellence and quality in-line: Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data conversions, bulk updates, and system performance implement checks/alerts/metrics to raise data quality and operational reliability. Establishes reusable patterns, code quality, validation frameworks, and operational practices.
Who are you
- Any Post Graduate or Graduate degree preferred in computer science, geodesy, geography or related field,
- 2-5 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Certification desired.
- Mandatory skills GIS, FME,Python,SQL, PostGIS Database
- Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS & FME, or similar spatial tools
- Technical ownership / project execution skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- GIS / spatial processing (FME, ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Python and SQL proficiency
- Data integration across DBs and APIs (Oracle, PostGIS, file geodatabases)
- Engineering best practices (Git/GitLab, CI/CD, code reviews, documentation)
- Quality & observability mindset (validation, monitoring, KPIs)
- Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
