Girls Hostel Warden

Job Summary:

The International School of Management, Patna is seeking a dedicated and responsible Girls Hostel Warden to oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the girls hostel. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, well-being, discipline, and overall development of resident students while maintaining a homely and secure atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the girls hostel.

• Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all girl residents at all times.

• Maintain discipline and enforce hostel rules and regulations.

• Monitor student behaviour and provide guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.

• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of hostel premises.

• Handle emergencies and ensure prompt response to medical, disciplinary, or security-related issues.

• Maintain accurate records of hostel occupancy, student movements, complaints, and disciplinary actions.

• Act as a liaison between students and management, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.

• Plan and coordinate hostel activities, including cultural, recreational, and wellness programs.

• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure standards are maintained.

• Maintain confidentiality and ensure a respectful, inclusive environment for all students.

Eligibility & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree preferred).

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a hostel warden or in a residential student management role, preferably in an educational institution.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage conflicts and handle sensitive issues with maturity and confidentiality.

• Should be compassionate, approachable, and firm in dealing with student-related matters.

• Must be willing to reside in the hostel premises (residential position).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in women's hostels or institutions with residential facilities for female students.

• Background in psychology, social work, or student affairs is an added advantage.

• Familiarity with basic computer applications (MS Office, email, etc.).
