The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence.

Purpose of the Role

As the Responsible Sourcing Lead, you will support the Global Responsible Sourcing program by leading audit planning and execution, Supplier Code of Conduct (SCOC) governance, and risk management across regions and segments. The role also supports the Supplier Development program to strengthen relationships with small suppliers and expand the supplier portfolio while driving economic impact. This position builds capability in navigating ambiguity, cross-functional collaboration, data analysis, and process implementation.

Key Accountabilities

Responsible Sourcing

  • Ensure Supplier Code of Conduct (SCOC) compliance across the upstream supply base and GMI sites; maintain expert-level knowledge of SCOC requirements.
  • Partner with sourcing buyers to drive and sustain supplier compliance.
  • Execute the Responsible Sourcing Audit Program in line with program strategy and compliance targets.
  • Lead Responsible Sourcing risk management, including Out-of-Tolerance (OOT) tracking, monitoring, escalation, and action guidance (Control/Avoid/Accept).
  • Own and report Responsible Sourcing program metrics and outcomes.
  • Review supplier and customer contracts and provide recommendations aligned with Responsible Sourcing strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, including third-party auditors, integrated program managers, and sourcing teams.

Supplier Development

  • Execute Tier 2 supplier quarterly reporting and support supplier development initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business (any concentration), or Sustainability.

Experience

  • 57 years of professional experience, including 24 years in Sustainability, Supply Chain, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability and Responsible Sourcing (Force for Good).

  • Proven ability to work with global, cross-functional teams across time zones (especially U.S.-based stakeholders).
  • Strong executive communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Action-oriented, autonomous, and strong problem-solving capability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • APICS, CPM, or equivalent procurement certification.
  • Strong sourcing expertise, including strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, stakeholder collaboration, and project management.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based stakeholders and cross-regional teams.
  • Experience in food or CPG industry; understanding of global sourcing, regulatory compliance, and sustainability practices.
  • Proven success operating in a global matrix organization supporting U.S. time zones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong passion for sustainability or Responsible Sourcing.
