Position: Geotechnical Engineer
Department: Design & Engineering
Reporting To: Design Director / Project Director
Role Purpose:
The Geotechnical Engineer shall be responsible for geotechnical investigations, slope stability assessments, design of retaining and stabilization systems, and providing technical support for slope protection and landslide mitigation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out geotechnical investigations and interpret soil and rock mechanics data.
• Perform slope stability analysis and recommend suitable stabilization measures.
• Design retaining structures, soil nailing systems, rock anchoring systems, gab ion structures, and other slope protection works.
• Review site investigation reports, geological mapping, and laboratory test results.
• Prepare geotechnical design reports, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with survey, geology, structural, and project execution teams.
• Provide technical solutions for landslide mitigation and hill slope stabilization projects.
• Support tendering, project planning, and construction activities with geotechnical inputs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and provide technical guidance during project execution.
Educational Qualification:
• Post Graduate Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
Requirements
• Minimum 8 years of total professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design of retaining structures, soil nailing, rock anchoring, gab ion structures, and slope stabilization works.
• Independently handled the design of at least 3 slope stabilization or landslide treatment projects.
• Experience in geotechnical investigations, slope stability analysis, and foundation engineering.
Desired Skills:
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and geotechnical engineering principles.
• Proficiency in slope stability and geotechnical design software.
• Experience in retaining wall and slope protection system design.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and design calculations.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
