Job Summary
GeoSpatial Senior Analyst MAP with eight to eleven years of experience will design develop and optimize high performance geospatial applications using programming expertise in C C plus plus IBM TPF Assembler and IBM z TPFDF in a hybrid work model while ensuring stability scalability and business value for a global enterprise client.
Responsibilities
- Develop complex geospatial application components using C and C plus plus to process high volume spatial datasets with strong emphasis on runtime efficiency and memory optimization.
- Design modular geospatial services that integrate with IBM TPF based systems to support robust transaction processing for aviation or travel industry platforms.
- Implement and optimize IBM TPF Assembler routines that handle low latency request flows and ensure reliable execution in high availability environments.
- Configure and maintain IBM z TPFDF databases to support efficient retrieval and update of mapping and navigation data structures aligned with business rules.
- Debug intricate production incidents by tracing C and C plus plus code paths and TPF Assembler flows to rapidly identify root causes and propose preventive improvements.
- Collaborate with architecture and infrastructure teams to define performance benchmarks and capacity strategies for geospatial workloads running on TPF based platforms.
- Prepare detailed technical design documents that describe algorithms data structures and integration patterns used in geospatial applications to support future maintenance and reuse.
- Create unit tests component tests and integration tests for C and C plus plus modules and TPF Assembler routines to improve reliability and reduce regression risk.
- Coordinate closely with map data providers and internal data engineering teams to validate data quality coverage and update cycles for geospatial datasets used by business applications.
- Automate build and deployment pipelines for TPF and z TPFDF components in alignment with hybrid work practices to improve consistency and reduce manual errors.
- Analyze production monitoring metrics and logs to identify performance bottlenecks in geospatial computations and recommend tuning or refactoring strategies.
- Engage with product and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements related to routing mapping or geo analytics into precise technical designs and implementation plans.
- Document operational runbooks and troubleshooting guides for day support teams to enable efficient handling of incidents within day shift schedules and hybrid work arrangements.
Qualifications
- Possess extensive hands on experience of eight to eleven years in C and C plus plus development on large scale performance sensitive systems preferably in travel or aviation domains.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency with IBM TPF Assembler programming including debugging performance tuning and deployment on mission critical platforms.
- Show practical experience with IBM z TPFDF including schema design indexing strategies and transactional access patterns for high volume operational data.
- Apply solid understanding of data structures algorithms and operating system fundamentals to design efficient geospatial processing workflows.
- Utilize prior exposure to geospatial concepts such as coordinates projections and routing logic even if gained through domain projects rather than formal academic programs.
- Exhibit effective collaboration skills in hybrid work environments including clear written communication code reviews and participation in remote design discussions.
- Display familiarity with secure coding practices version control workflows and automated testing techniques suitable for enterprise development teams.
- Adapt quickly to evolving business requirements by learning new tools libraries or frameworks that complement existing C and TPF based solutions.
- Maintain strong problem solving and analytical skills to independently investigate complex system behavior and provide high quality technical solutions.
