Geospatial Manager MAP

We are looking for an experienced Geospatial Manager – MAP with strong expertise in JMS, Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, REST API design, and IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) administration.

The role involves architecting and managing enterprise integration solutions that connect geospatial and mapping platforms with IBM Sterling OMS. The candidate will be responsible for designing resilient, secure, and scalable integration patterns, optimizing system performance, and enabling real-time data processing to support order management, inventory visibility, and location-based fulfillment operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement geospatial integration solutions connecting enterprise mapping platforms with IBM Sterling OMS for accurate location-based order orchestration and fulfillment.
2. Architect and develop event-driven solutions using JMS and Kafka to enable real-time data streaming and processing for high-volume geospatial and commerce transactions.
3. Design, develop, and manage RESTful APIs for geospatial data access and order management integrations, ensuring secure and consistent communication.
4. Administer and configure IBM Sterling OMS, including order workflows, inventory rules, service definitions, and integration points with external systems.
5. Optimize JMS and Kafka message flows by configuring topics, queues, consumer groups, and error-handling mechanisms to achieve high throughput and low latency.
6. Implement monitoring and observability solutions for event-driven systems and REST APIs through metrics, alerts, dashboards, and proactive incident management.
7. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and implementation plans.
8. Ensure geospatial data quality and consistency through validation rules, data enrichment, and reconciliation processes.
9. Implement security and compliance controls across IBM Sterling OMS, event streams, and REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing.
10. Work with platform and DevOps teams to standardize deployment processes, automation scripts, configuration templates, and environment setups.
11. Conduct capacity planning, load testing, and performance analysis to identify bottlenecks and improve system reliability and scalability.
12. Document integration architecture, event flows, API specifications, and technical designs to support reusability and maintainability.
13. Provide technical guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 12–14 years of experience in enterprise application integration, solution development, or related technology domains.
• Strong hands-on experience with JMS and Kafka in large-scale distributed systems.
• Expertise in Event-Driven Architecture, including event sourcing, choreography, and loosely coupled services.
• Proven experience in REST API design, development, versioning, documentation, security, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience in IBM Sterling OMS administration, configuration, order workflows, inventory management, and integration.
• Understanding of geospatial and mapping capabilities and their integration with order management platforms.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient, and high-availability enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of message processing, error handling, monitoring, and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating geospatial platforms with IBM Sterling OMS.
• Knowledge of location-based order routing, inventory visibility, and supply chain fulfillment.
• Experience with distributed systems, real-time data streaming, and high-volume transaction processing.
• Knowledge of API security, authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Experience with automation, deployment standardization, and production monitoring.
