We are seeking a talented and innovative Geospatial AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between geographic information systems (GIS) and artificial intelligence. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy intelligent geospatial solutions by integrating GIS data and methodologies with advanced Python programming, machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL) models. You will transform raw spatial data into predictive insights and automated systems that solve real-world business problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- I-GIS Integration: Architect and implement robust pipelines to integrate diverse geospatial data sources (vector, raster, satellite imagery, IoT sensor data) with AI/ML workflows.
- Model Development: Design, train, validate, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models (e.g., for image classification, object detection, predictive modeling, spatial clustering) using geospatial data.
- Geospatial Data Engineering: Process, clean, and analyze large-scale spatial datasets using Python libraries (GeoPandas, Rasterio, Shapely) and GIS software.
- Automation & Solution Building: Develop automated scripts and tools to streamline geospatial analysis, model retraining, and data visualization processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software developers, and domain experts to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
- Stay Current: Proactively research and prototype new techniques at the intersection of geospatial science, computer vision, and AI.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Geomatics, Remote Sensing, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in a role combining GIS and data science/programming.
- Expertise in GIS: Proficiency with industry-standard GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) and understanding of core spatial concepts (projections, spatial analysis, geoprocessing).
