GeoIQ helps Indias largest retail brands answer questions that matter: will this location work Will rent here go up Which micro-markets should we enter next Our models run on one of the richest datasets in Indian retail and there are hundreds of product ideas sitting in that data waiting to be unlocked.
This Role Owns All Of That. Youll Lead a 10-person Team Of Data Scientists And Analysts, Sit Across The Table From Indias Largest Retail CEOs And CXOs, And Work Directly With Our Founders. The Expectation Is Its Impact, Not Youll Own :
- The end-to-end data science function i.e. modelling, quality, delivery, roadmap
- GeoIQs core models span satellite imagery analysis, mobility data, hundreds of public data sources, and location intelligence. These are hard problems. Some need sophisticated models; some need sharper thinking. Youll need both.
- Client outcomes : understanding a business problem deeply, building a solution that works, and making sure it scales across clients, geographies, and use cases.
- Cross-functional execution with Product and Engineering to ship products.
- Sales support : helping the commercial team win deals with data-backed pitches

We have been using AI in production pipelines for years as a core part of how our models and workflows are built. We move fast, we rebuild things when a better approach exists, and we hold ourselves to the standard of shipping work that is actually useful, and not just technically interesting.
This Role Sits At The Centre Of That. We Are Not Looking For Someone Who Manages a Team That Produces Analyses. We Are Looking For Someone Who Takes Full Ownership Of Outcomes, Who Sees a Problem And Drives It To a Solution, Regardless Of Where The Blockers You Are :
- 8- 12 years in data science or applied ML - strong fundamentals across modelling,feature engineering, and problem formulation
- Track record of taking hard, ambiguous problems and turning them into robust, scalable solutions that drove real decisions
- Comfortable in client rooms - you can discuss a complex geospatial or imagery-based model with a retail CFO without losing the thread
- Experience leading a data team - the quality of ownership you built in it matters more than its size
- Exposure to geospatial, satellite, or mobility data is a strong plus
