Role Description As a Generative AI Intern at Future of Nation, you will support the design, testing, and refinement of AI-driven learning tools and content. On a day-to-day basis, you will experiment with generative AI models, create and evaluate AI-generated educational materials, and assist in building workflows that make learning more interactive and personalized. You will collaborate with mentors and subject matter experts to prototype new features, document findings, and improve AI prompts and pipelines based on feedback and performance data. You may also help analyze user behavior and learning outcomes to suggest enhancements to AI-based solutions. This is a remote internship role, designed to offer hands-on experience in applying generative AI to education and youth empowerment.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of machine learning, AI concepts, and an interest in generative models (e.g., large language models, image or code generation tools).
• Basic programming skills (preferably Python) and familiarity with tools or platforms commonly used in AI or data projects (such as Jupyter, Git, or cloud-based notebooks).
• Ability to design, test, and refine prompts or workflows for AI tools, with attention to accuracy, clarity, and learner experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, including the ability to interpret results and document insights clearly.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a remote, diverse, and interdisciplinary team.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Interest in education, youth empowerment, and skill-building initiatives; prior experience in edtech, teaching, or mentoring is a plus.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines and learning quickly.
