Trainer – Learning & Development

Location: Hyderabad

Number of Positions: 3

Education: Graduate – Any Degree

Languages: English mandatory; across 3 positions – 1 Telugu, 1 Hindi, 1 English-only

Role Summary

We are looking for Trainers to design, deliver and measure training programs for NIAT teams, excluding instructors.

The role will train Program Operations, Success Coaches, Curriculum & Assessment, and Specialist Cluster teams, covering 16 of 40 cohorts.

The trainer will first identify the actual performance gap through data, recordings, tickets, audits and discussions with employees/managers. Based on the findings, the trainer will define what needs to be trained and create a detailed training brief for the Content Creator, who will decide how the content is delivered.

The role will conduct live remote training from Hyderabad and measure whether employees have actually changed their work practices after training.

The key responsibility is not just delivering training, but identifying the real problem and measuring whether the training solved it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify actual skill and performance gaps through classes, recorded calls, tickets, audit data, employee discussions and manager feedback.
  • Define training topics and learning outcomes based on identified gaps.
  • Prepare detailed briefs for Content Creators covering the problem, topic, expected outcome and real-life situations.
  • Deliver approximately 5 hours of live trainer-led training per month for assigned cohorts.
  • Cover the common NIAT standard followed by role-specific training.
  • Prepare case packs and enable managers to conduct 2 hours of practice sessions per month with their teams.
  • Brief managers and track whether the practice sessions are completed effectively.
  • Set up and monitor 1 hour of self-paced learning per person per month, based on individual gaps.
  • Conduct assessments after training to check whether employees can apply the learning in their actual work.
  • Provide additional training or intervention where employees do not clear the required assessment.
  • Conduct a 30-day post-training impact review using recordings, tickets, audit data and manager feedback.
  • Measure whether employee behaviour and work practices have actually improved after training.
  • Participate in impact review meetings and provide clear feedback on training effectiveness.
  • Decide the next intervention based on impact results and rework the training approach where required.
  • Create simple role-wise playbooks documenting effective processes and practices.
  • Manage training delivery within the defined capacity of approximately 5 teaching hours per day / 120 hours per month.
  • Use AI tools where they can improve efficiency, such as identifying common themes from recordings or creating initial case-study drafts.
  • Continuously improve training material based on feedback and real-world performance.

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering training to adult learners on a regular basis.
  • Strong experience conducting virtual/video-based training and keeping remote participants engaged.
  • Experience training different types of teams, such as support, operations, customer success or similar functions.
  • Ability to adapt training based on the requirements of different roles and teams.
  • Experience measuring training effectiveness after the session, not just tracking attendance.
  • Ability to identify performance gaps independently using records, tickets, recordings, audits and data.
  • Experience modifying training material based on real-world feedback and performance.
  • Comfortable handling difficult conversations with parents, students, customers or employees, or training teams that handle such conversations.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the complete training cycle – gap identification → training → assessment → impact measurement → improvement.

Good to Have

  • Experience conducting Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs and certifying trainers.
  • Experience working with an LMS and recorded/self-paced learning content.
  • Experience coaching managers to conduct training and practice sessions with their teams.
  • Experience using AI tools for training analysis, content development or learning operations.
