Sidecar builds AI to run the global supply chain.
Ever wonder how your phone got to you from a factory in Shenzhen Or how the jacket you ordered from Italy made it to your door in 5 days
Behind every shipment is a freight forwarding company — a logistics middleman coordinating ships, customs, warehouses, and trucks across continents. These companies still run on emails, spreadsheets, PDFs, and terminal software from 1998. Their teams manually extract info from documents and respond to hundreds of emails and calls daily to execute business-specific workflows.
Sidecar is a 24×7 Virtual AI Teammate for these Logistics Service Providers — we call, email, log into systems, and do everything else needed to execute complex tasks autonomously.
We are backed by leading Silicon Valley VCs, angel investors, and industry advisors. We pay top-bracket salaries alongside meaningful equity.
The Role
You'll join as a generalist intern — working across every function of the company (ops, GTM, marketing) before specialising in the vertical where you have the most impact.
This is an intern-to-perm role. We don't do summer projects. You'll do real work from day one, and if you're great, you'll have a full-time offer before your internship ends.
We're looking for someone who can context-switch fast, figure things out without hand-holding, and build AI-powered workflows that make the whole team faster. You won't shadow — you'll ship.
Here's What You'll Work On
- Work across every function — product specs, customer onboarding, sales outreach, data analysis, investor materials, hiring ops. Wherever the biggest fire is, you're there.
- Build AI workflows — automate internal processes using Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n, Zapier, or whatever gets the job done. We expect you to ship workflows that save the team hours every week.
- Own projects end-to-end — not help with projects. You'll get a problem, a deadline, and the autonomy to figure out the path.
- Specialise over time — after 2–3 months of working across the company, you'll go deep on one vertical (ops, GTM, marketing) based on where you add the most value and what excites you.
- Move fast in ambiguity — priorities shift weekly at a startup this stage. You thrive when the brief is figure it out not follow these steps.
Qualifications
Must Have
- 2026 graduating undergrad or MBA. You're finishing your degree and looking for a place to go all-in.
- AI-native. You already use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Replit, v0, or similar tools daily — not because someone told you to, but because you can't imagine working without them. You've built workflows, automated tasks, or shipped something using AI.
- Sharp and fast. You can go from I've never seen this before to here's a first draft in hours, not days. You learn by doing, not by waiting for training.
- Strong written English. You'll write customer emails, internal docs, outreach messages, and reports — all need to be crisp.
- Bangalore-based, in-office, 6 days a week.
Nice to Have
- You've built something on your own — a side project, a community, a newsletter, a tool, a business. Anything that shows initiative beyond coursework.
- Experience with no-code/low-code tools (n8n, Zapier, Retool, Airtable)
- Exposure to startups — worked at one, interned at one, or built one
- Familiarity with data tools (SQL, spreadsheets, dashboards)
This Is NOT the Role If
- You want a structured rotation program with a training calendar
- You need someone to tell you what to do every morning
- You think that's not my job is ever an acceptable sentence at a 10-person startup
- You're looking for a brand-name internship to put on your resume and coast
Compensation
- Competitive internship stipend with a clear path to full-time conversion
- Meaningful ESOPs on conversion (not symbolic)
- Lunch and dinner at the office + unlimited snacks, coffee, energy drinks
- Health insurance
We work 996 out of our offices in Bangalore. We are highly selective and believe in only hiring and retaining the best.
If you're finishing your degree and want to build AI that runs real-world logistics instead of doing another corporate internship, apply.
