General Surgeon

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Surgeon role based at Healing Hands Clinic in Bengaluru. The General Surgeon will perform surgical procedures related to constipation, piles, hernia, and other gastrointestinal and lifestyle-related conditions, following evidence-based clinical protocols. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and performing pre-operative and post-operative care. The role involves collaborating closely with multidisciplinary clinical staff, documenting patient care accurately in medical records, and participating in clinical case discussions. The General Surgeon is expected to contribute to quality improvement initiatives, patient education, and adherence to all clinical safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Surgery with demonstrated expertise in general clinical assessment and patient management.
• Proficiency in Surgery, including experience with gastrointestinal, colorectal, and hernia-related procedures.
• Awareness of related specialties such aa Anorectal, Colorectal and Proctology to support multidisciplinary care when needed.
• Valid medical degree (BAMS)and recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery (MS) from an accredited institution.
• Active medical registration and license to practice, with compliance to local regulatory and ethical standards.
• Experience in a surgical or specialty clinic setting, ideally with exposure to colorectal or lifestyle-disease management.
• Strong clinical judgment, manual dexterity, and adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and commitment to respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered care.
• Willingness to participate in continuous professional development and stay updated with current surgical practices and technologies.
