About The Opportunity

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop individualized surgical care plans.
  • Perform a full range of general surgical procedures, including appendectomies, hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, and trauma surgeries.
  • Deliver comprehensive perioperative managementmonitor patient recovery, manage wound care, and address post-operative complications.
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, nursing teams, and allied health professionals to optimize patient safety and surgical outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in quality-improvement initiatives, morbidity & mortality reviews, and ongoing clinical audits to enhance best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MBBS and MS in General Surgery (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or respective State Medical Council.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume hospital setting.
  • Proficiency in both laparoscopic and open surgical techniques.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills, especially in emergency surgical scenarios.
  • Excellent medical record-keeping and adherence to patient safety standards.

Preferred

  • Fellowship or advanced training in minimally invasive/laparoscopic surgery.
  • Experience mentoring and training junior surgeons or surgical residents.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and surgical outcome tracking.
