General Shift Executive

Job Summary:..

The General Shift Executive at HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LIMITED is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operational activities within a designated shift to ensure efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:..

. Manage and supervise a team of production operators and support staff during a given shift.
. Ensure all production targets, quality specifications, and safety protocols are met or exceeded.
. Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain smooth operations.
. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning and initiate maintenance requests as needed.
. Maintain accurate production records, inventory levels, and shift reports.
. Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
. Collaborate with other shift executives, department heads, and support functions to optimize overall plant performance.
. Enforce company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and environmental regulations.
. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.

Job Qualifications:..

. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Chemical) or a related technical field.
. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the FMCG sector.
. Proven experience in supervising and leading a team in a shift-based operation.
. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
. Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
. Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and Microsoft Office Suite.
. Willingness to work in rotating shifts (day, evening, night) as per operational requirements.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
