Primary Job Title: Consultant - General Medicine (MD/DNB)
Location: On-site at CIMS, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Join a clinical team delivering evidence-based general medicine services to a diverse patient population across OPD, IPD and emergency care settings.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care for adult patients in outpatient, inpatient and emergency settingsperform assessments, order and interpret investigations, and define treatment plans.
- Stabilize and manage acute medical emergencies, coordinate with ICU and emergency teams for escalation and transfer when required.
- Perform bedside procedures relevant to general medicine (e.g., pleural aspiration, arterial blood gas sampling) and document findings accurately.
- Lead daily rounds, create discharge plans, and ensure timely handovers and continuity of care across multidisciplinary teams.
- Mentor and supervise junior doctors, residents and nurses; contribute to case discussions, clinical teaching and training activities.
- Participate in clinical governance: maintain medical records, adhere to protocols, support audits, infection control and quality-improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MD (General Medicine) or DNB (Internal Medicine) from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the appropriate State Medical Council or NMC (valid registration).
- Proven competence in diagnosing and managing common and complex adult medical conditions in OPD and IPD.
- Demonstrated experience in emergency stabilization and coordination with critical care teams.
- Hands-on ability with bedside procedures: pleural aspiration, arterial blood gas sampling and basic emergency interventions.
- Valid BLS/ACLS certification.
Preferred
- Experience working in tertiary-care hospitals or high-volume multispecialty settings.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital information systems.
- Prior involvement in teaching, clinical audits or quality-improvement projects.
