Job Description: GM-Vendor Growth
The General Manager of Vendor Growth is responsible for expanding and nurturing Pidge's vendor network, focusing on onboarding, contracting, expectation setting, and vendor success management. This role is pivotal in ensuring Pidge's logistics partners are aligned with our operational standards, motivated to achieve performance, and well-integrated into our platform for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor On-boarding:
Lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new last-mile logistics vendors, ensuring alignment with Pidge's operational goals.
Develop and execute a comprehensive onboarding strategy that equips vendors to meet quality, efficiency, and delivery standards.
Contracting and Expectations Setting:
Oversee vendor contracting, including negotiations, legal compliance, and risk management.
Clearly outline and communicate performance expectations, compliance requirements, and KPIs with vendors to set a foundation for success.
Vendor Success Management:
Create and implement frameworks to monitor vendor performance, satisfaction, and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
Act as a point of escalation for resolving vendor issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive solutions and maintain smooth operations.
Vendor Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with vendor partners to foster mutual growth and long-term collaboration.
Develop feedback mechanisms to gather insights from vendors, using data to improve processes, address concerns, and adapt strategies as needed.
Performance Optimization and Growth Initiatives:
Identify growth opportunities within the vendor network, designing strategies to optimize capacity, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Product, Data, etc.) to integrate vendor feedback into process improvements and tech advancements.
Reporting and Analysis:
Track, analyze, and report on vendor performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
7+ years of experience in vendor management, supply chain, or last-mile logistics,
Proven track record in vendor growth and management, including contracting and performance management.
