Job Description – General Manager (Technical & Project Management)
We are seeking a senior construction professional to lead the Technical and Project Management function. This role will take full ownership of project delivery, from design development through execution and completion, driving timelines, quality control, and cost across multiple projects.
The ideal candidate will combine strong civil engineering fundamentals with the ability to lead teams, make decisions on the ground, and ensure projects move forward efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end to end execution of construction projects from drawings to handover
- Drive project timelines, budgets, and overall delivery outcomes
- Oversee site teams, contractors, supervisors, engineers, and consultants, ensuring accountability and performance
- Establish and enforce quality control systems and construction standards
- Anticipate and resolve technical and execution challenges proactively
- Manage resource planning and allocation across multiple projects
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Act as the central decision-maker for all technical and site-related matters
- Manage monthly performance reviews
Qualifications & Experience
- 12–15+ years of experience in the private construction sector (mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Strong grounding in civil and structural engineering principles
- Proven experience leading and delivering multiple projects independently
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and drive execution on-site
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Solid understanding of construction safety standards and practices
- Working proficiency in project planning, billing workflows and scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Procore or Buildertrend. etc.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD/SketchUp
