Job Requirements
The role of tax head is to oversee the tax compliances, ensure provision of adequate information to tax authorities during audit, assessments, scrutiny and representing the organization correctly to achieve desired result, conduct statutory tax audits, during litigation taking effective help of consultants and counsels and on case-to-case basis appearing before adjudicating authorities in person without any consultants / counsels. Tax head plays a major role in project bid tax advisor in domestic and overseas project bids. In projects involving overseas associate enterprises, tax optimization is a key area, and many a times have large impact in project costing.
- Supervision of all types of tax compliance and ensure correct and timely compliance. This includes ensuring collection of all necessary exemption and supporting tax documents
- Tax and TP audit / assessments audit and litigations for both direct and indirect tax. This includes liaison with consultants and counsels
- Keeping up to date with changes in law through reading and attending seminars and workshops and knowledge sharing with team members.
- Project tax advisory including tax planning and meeting with project bid team, management, overseas AEs and discussion with consultants and customers. Contract structuring with safeguard contractual tax clauses.
- Issuance, periodic review and monitoring of internal guidelines.
- Conducting internal training and workshops for business colleagues
- MIS reporting to both local and global management
- Support to business in project arbitration involving taxation aspect and in situations become witness for organization before the arbitration tribunal

Work Experience
Preferred Educational Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant
Work Experience: 15 years in Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing and Indirect Taxation.
Key Competencies: Cross border project taxation, assessments, litigation, advisory, effective handing of consultants and counsels, deferred tax accounting, POC accounting. Service oriented business enabler mindset.
