Responsibilities
- Strategic Security Leadership
- Define and implement site-wide security strategy aligned with business and risk profile
- Establish Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for plant, township, logistics, and critical installations
- Drive risk mitigation plans for theft, pilferage, process disruption, and external threats
- Plant & Asset Security
- Ensure robust security systems for smelter, refinery, warehouse, scrap yard, and logistics movement
- Safeguard precious metals, copper cathodes, scrap, and RM inventory
- Implement multi-layered access control, perimeter security, and surveillance architecture
- Security Operations Management
- Oversee 24x7 security operations, control room monitoring, and incident management
- Ensure deployment optimization of manpower, CCTV, access control, and technology solutions
- Monitor and review daily operations, incidents, and security performance metrics
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Conduct periodic risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security audits
- Ensure compliance with:
- Industrial security standards
- Local regulatory and statutory requirements
- Group security policies
- Incident Management & Investigation
- Lead investigation of security breaches, frauds, pilferage, and incidents
- Implement corrective and preventive measures
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies / intelligence / local authorities
- Technology & Surveillance
- Drive implementation and optimization of:
- CCTV / VMS / AI-enabled surveillance
- Access control & biometric systems
- Vehicle tracking & material movement tracking systems
- Promote use of automation and digital security solutions
- Stakeholder & Liaison Management
- Collaborate with:
- Site Head / Operations / HR / Legal / Safety teams
- Government agencies, police, CISF/private security vendors
- Manage external risks related to local communities, transporters, contractors
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and develop a large multi-tier security workforce (on-roll + outsourced)
- Design training programs on:
- Emergency response
- Industrial security protocols
- Crisis management
- Crisis & Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and implement Emergency Response Plans (ERP)
- Conduct mock drills for:
- Fire, sabotage, intrusion, material theft
- Coordinate with Fire & Safety teams for integrated response
- Governance & Reporting
- Prepare and present:
- Security MIS dashboards
- Risk reports and incident analytics
- Drive continuous improvement in security KPIs and audit scores
Qualifications

- Graduate / Postgraduate (Security Management / Defence / Industrial Safety preferred)
- Certifications preferred: CPP / PSP / CFE / Industrial Security [JD for Narendra Negi | Word]
- 18–25 years of experience in industrial / metals / petrochemical / large manufacturing security
- Proven experience in:
- High-value asset environment
- Large site security operations
- Technology-driven security systems
