Title: General Manager - Record 2 Report
Location: Pune
Brief Role Description:
The R2R Tower Head will provide strategic and operational leadership for the end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report function for a large automotive Global Capability Center. The role is responsible for delivering compliant, accurate, and insight‑driven financial reporting while transforming the R2R landscape through process excellence, advanced analytics, and responsible adoption of GenAI‑led finance capabilities. The position is critical to establishing the GCC as a true Finance Center of Excellence and trusted partner to global business and corporate stakeholders.
Job Roles & Responsibilities – Level
1. Financial Close & Controllership Excellence
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close across all in‑scope entities, ensuring strong governance, accuracy, and audit readiness. Drive balance sheet integrity, journal governance, accrual quality, and accounting judgments in line with Ind AS, IFRS, and local GAAP requirements.
2.Financial Reporting & Compliance
Lead preparation and review of standalone and consolidated financial statements, balance sheet notes, and disclosures. Ensure regulatory compliance, related party accounting integrity, and alignment with corporate accounting policies.
3.Audit, Risk & Controls
Act as the primary GCC interface for statutory, internal, tax, and SOX audits. Drive a strong controls culture with zero repeat audit findings, robust IFC/SOX frameworks, and timely remediation of observations.
4.Process Excellence, Transformation & GenAI Enablement
Lead R2R transformation agenda with a clear analytical bend of mind and time‑based process excellence focus. Champion standardization, simplification, and automation using S/4HANA, RPA, advanced analytics, and GenAI‑enabled use cases such as intelligent reconciliations, anomaly detection, close analytics, and narrative reporting. Establish data‑driven KPIs to accelerate close, improve forecast quality, and enhance controllership effectiveness.
5.Business Partnering & Value Creation
Serve as a trusted finance partner to Corporate Finance, Business CFOs, and regional teams by delivering high‑quality P&L and balance sheet insights, variance analysis, and forward‑looking decision support.
6.People Leadership & Capability Building
Build and lead a high‑performing R2R leadership team with strong succession planning, technical capability uplift, and a culture of ownership, compliance, continuous improvement, and digital mindset within the GCC.
