General Manager

HostNow manages short-term rental properties in the US. We're looking for a General Manager in Chennai to lead our US operations and grow our portfolio.

What you'll do

• Grow the portfolio by reaching out to US landlords and negotiating short-term operating leases.
• Check zoning, permits and STR regulations on every property before we commit.
• Analyse the highest-earning rental properties and markets, and produce revenue estimate reports using AirDNA and other estimators.
• Oversee remote property setup, including furniture ordering, vendors and timelines.
• Create and optimize Airbnb listings for every new property
• Help build out our US management business by onboarding apartments for owners.
• Lead our Operations Manager and oversee a team of virtual assistants.
• Deliver against clear KPIs for growth and property performance.

Who you are

• A self-starter who is comfortable with outreach, negotiation and closing.
• Organised, and able to manage people you never meet in person.
• Comfortable with data and revenue analysis, and able to turn it into clear reports.
• Experienced with Airbnb listings (photos, copy, pricing, amenities), or quick to learn.
• Familiar with short-term rentals, hospitality or real estate (a plus, not a must).
• A clear communicator with US landlords and vendors.
