About the Role:We are seeking a General Manager Quality to lead and drive the overall quality strategy across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in metal-based home improvement, furniture, or garden dcor products, with a strong focus on achieving global quality benchmarks for export markets.
This is a leadership role requiring a strategic mindset, strong technical expertise, and the ability to build robust quality systems across large-scale, vertically integrated manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the overall quality function, ensuring alignment with business goals and international standards
- Establish and drive company-wide quality systems, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee inspection processes across raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
- Drive root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, and long-term quality improvement strategies
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and finishing teams to ensure process consistency
- Monitor and improve critical quality parameters including coating performance, durability, and structural strength
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, audit standards, and global retail requirements
- Lead external audits (ISO, Sedex, retailer audits) and ensure complete organizational readiness
- Develop and mentor quality teams, building strong inspection and quality control capabilities
- Review quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions at a system level
- Work with suppliers to strengthen incoming material quality and vendor performance
Key Qualifications:- 10+ years of experience in Quality Control within metal manufacturing or fabrication
- Proven experience in a leadership role managing quality teams and systems
- Strong understanding of CNC, welding, powder coating, forging, and assembly processes
- Experience with ISO, Sedex, and major global retail audits
- Proficient in quality tools, inspection systems, and measurement instruments
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and team management skills
- Ability to drive quality culture and process discipline across the organization
