Job Description

Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), the General Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for driving clinic performance, supporting strategic business growth, and providing clinical expertise to strengthen the Company's market position and service offerings.

The role serves as a leader and mentor to all Clinic Managers, ensuring the achievement of patient booking targets, service excellence standards, operational effectiveness, and revenue objectives across Singapore Institute of Advanced Medicine Holdings clinics.

As a medically qualified professional, the General Manager will provide clinical leadership and subject matter expertise to support sales, marketing, and business development initiatives. This includes contributing to marketing strategies and materials, supporting the introduction of new services, and engaging with referring specialists and healthcare stakeholders to promote the Company's services and capabilities.

The General Manager will work closely with the CEO and COO on strategic growth initiatives and will play an important role in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships, and service developments. This position offers a clear leadership pathway towards executive management and future C-suite responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Clinic Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop all Clinic Manager to achieve operational excellence and high performance.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability measures for Clinic Managers.
  • Monitor and drive clinic performance against patient booking, patient experience, service quality, productivity and revenue targets.
  • Review clinic performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives where required.
  • Foster a culture of patient-centric care, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support Clinic Managers in workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational problem-solving.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions with Clinic Managers.

Clinical Support for Sales & Marketing

  • Provide clinical expertise and medical insight to support sales, marketing, and business development activities.
  • Review and contribute to marketing materials, educational content, presentations, and promotional campaigns to ensure clinical accuracy and relevance.
  • Support the development and launch of new healthcare services, technologies, and strategic projects.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop value propositions and clinical positioning strategies.
  • Accompany sales and marketing personnel on meetings and engagement sessions with specialists, healthcare providers, and strategic partners where clinical representation adds value.
  • Act as a clinical ambassador for the Company's services and capabilities.
  • Provide market intelligence and clinical insights to support service development and commercial initiatives.

Business Development & Strategic Projects

  • Support the CEO and COO in evaluating and executing strategic business development opportunities.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of new services, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
  • Assist in developing business cases, market assessments, and implementation plans for strategic projects.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities with healthcare providers, industry partners, and other relevant organisations.
  • Identify opportunities to expand referral networks and strengthen strategic relationships.
  • Contribute to the successful rollout and commercialisation of new projects and services.
  • Support ongoing innovation and service enhancement initiatives across the organisation.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring specialists, healthcare professionals, and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Clinic Managers, Sales & Marketing, Medical Affairs, and other functional teams to achieve organisational goals.
  • Represent the Company at professional meetings, conferences, industry events, and stakeholder engagements when required.
  • Promote the Company's mission, values, and commitment to clinical excellence and patient care.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Manage operational budgets, control expenses, and ensure operational and financial discipline.
  • Review results and recommend actions to maximize revenue and profitability.

Any adhoc duties as required by the company board of directors and management

Requirements

  • Significant leadership experience within healthcare, medical services, specialist clinics, hospitals, diagnostic imaging, oncology, or related healthcare sectors.
  • Experience supporting business development, strategic projects, or healthcare service expansion initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, patient journey management, and service delivery excellence.
  • Experience working with medical specialists, healthcare providers, and referral networks.
    Commercial awareness with the ability to balance clinical, operational, and business objectives.

Education & Qualification

  • Medical Degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) with current or previous clinical practice experience preferred.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Management, or related discipline would be advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of the Singapore healthcare landscape and regulatory environment.
