Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore for a General Manager Production at Impel Ferrocast's foundry division. The General Manager Production will oversee production operations, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring processes to ensure optimal safety, efficiency, and quality. Responsibilities include driving production improvements, managing daily manufacturing workflows, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and coordinating budgets and resources. The role also involves leading and mentoring production personnel to maintain a motivated workforce and fostering cross-team collaboration to meet delivery timelines while achieving operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Production Planning and Production Management, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing manufacturing operations
  • Strong skills in Quality Control and adherence to industry standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality products
  • Experience in Team Leadership and the ability to manage, train, and coordinate diverse teams in a dynamic production environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment, with the ability to implement improvements
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or foundry industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Lean Manufacturing methodologies is an added advantage
