General Manager - preopening

We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Pre-Opening to lead and manage hotel pre-opening projects from planning to successful launch and post-opening operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the complete pre-opening process in line with company SOPs, timelines, and budgets.
• Develop manpower plans, recruitment strategies, training schedules and operational SOPs.
• Drive vendor finalization, procurement, licensing, statutory compliance and operational readiness.
• Ensure property setup, service standards, systems and processes are completed before opening.
• Conduct mock operations, departmental readiness checks and opening reviews.
• Manage the transition from pre-opening to stable hotel operations.
• Monitor budgets, manpower costs and overall project timelines.
• Oversee initial public relations, OTA channel set ups and market positioning before launch.
• Ensure guest experience, brand standards and business objectives are achieved from day one.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum graduate preferably Hospitality graduate. A post graduate with knowledge of Finance or Operations is desirable.
• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in the hospitality, with strong exposure to hotel pre-openings.
• Prior experience handling complete pre-opening projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting, manpower planning and cross functional coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel/relocate as per project requirements.
• Mumbai based candidate will be given the preference.
