 General Manager (Fabrication, Assembly & Projects)

Role Context:

This is a senior leadership role at Shavo Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune, reporting to the Sr VP Manufacturing. The GM will own fabrication, assembly, project execution, installation, commissioning, QA/QC, and service/maintenance. The mandate is to drive execution efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction across industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead project managers, engineers, technicians; mentor and allocate responsibilities; ensure coordination between design, production, and customers.
• Fabrication & Assembly: Oversee structures, skid assemblies, piping systems; ensure adherence to GADs, P&IDs, fabrication drawings; monitor welding, fit-ups, dimensional accuracy.
• Quality Control: Implement QA/QC systems, inspection plans, root cause analysis, compliance with statutory/customer standards.
• Project Execution: Manage lifecycle from planning to handover; ensure timely, cost-effective delivery; handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Site Execution: Supervise installation & commissioning; resolve site issues; travel flexibility required.
• Service & Maintenance: Lead post-installation support; ensure quick response and customer satisfaction.
• Commercials: Monitor project costing, profitability, resource allocation.
• Risk & Safety: Identify risks, enforce safety standards and compliance.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–8+ years in engineering/industrial projects, with 3–5 years in leadership.
• Strong background in mechanical fabrication, piping/tubing, assembly, QA/QC.
• Ability to read GADs, P&IDs, electrical drawings.
• Experience in installation & commissioning of industrial systems.
• MS Office proficiency.
