Vizag is our processing and export base for garnet abrasives. The group is ISO 9001:2015 certified and is expanding beyond garnet into a broader trading business

Role Description

We are hiring a business leader to run our Indian operation. This is a general management role with full budget ownership, not a plant management role. The successful candidate will own the number, build each department into a function that runs on delegated authority, and grow the business into new products and new export routes.

Key Responsibilities

* Own the Maxworth Minerals India operating budget and deliver agreed revenue, volume and margin targets. 

• Build each department, covering production, quality, logistics, export documentation, stores and sales support, into a function with a named manager, defined KPIs and delegated decision authority.

• Develop logistics and sourcing into a documented, competitive function, including the capability to ship and export from ports beyond Vizag.

• Reduce single-supplier exposure by qualifying alternative sources for core grades. • Identify and commercialize new products and trading lines.

• Represent the business in the market through customer, supplier and trade expo visits across India and Southeast Asia.

* Close key-person risk across the site and management team capabilities & cross functional collaboration.

Essential requirements

• 12+ years of experience, including at least 5 years with full site, division or P&L accountability.

• Combined operations and commercial accountability, covering production and cost control as well as revenue delivery in the same role.

• Demonstrated experience establishing management structure

• Background in minerals, abrasives, chemicals, metals, cement or a comparable industrial commodity, with export market exposure.

• Working knowledge of export documentation, freight forwarding, multi-port logistics and Indian SEZ operations.

• Experience with developing new markets and adding products to line• Demonstrated examples of operational improvement projects with noted

• Fluent English and Hindi.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or a related discipline.

• Based in Vizag or willing to relocate.

Desirable

• Telugu, for day-to-day leadership of the Vizag site.

• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

• Experience leading 30 to 60 staff across multiple functions.

• ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor, Six Sigma or equivalent certification.

• Zoho CRM or comparable CRM and ERP experience.

• Track record of commercializing new products, suppliers or markets.
