Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Operations & Production Management
- Lead overall plant operations including production, maintenance, manufacturing engineering, and assembly lines
- Ensure production planning & control (PPC) aligned with sales forecasts and customer demand
- Drive 100% on-time delivery and adherence to production schedules
- Monitor and improve OEE, productivity, and capacity utilization
2. P&L & Cost Management
- Own complete P&L responsibility, budgeting, and financial performance of the plant
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across materials, labor, utilities, and overheads
3. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and 5S practices
- Drive initiatives to reduce cycle time, rejection rates, downtime, and waste
- Lead digital transformation and real-time MIS dashboards for performance tracking
4. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality systems (ISO, IATF, EMS) and customer specifications
- Drive zero-defect culture through quality tools like PFMEA, CAPA, SPC
- Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and environmental regulations
5. New Product Development & Capex
- Lead new product introduction (NPI), trials, and process setup
- Manage Capex planning and execution within timelines and budgets
- Support engineering teams in process innovation and automation
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in manufacturing operations & plant management
- Hands-on experience in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and Operational Excellence tools
- Proven track record in P&L management and cost control
- Deep knowledge of fabrication, machining, assembly, and automation
- Strong leadership in handling large teams and union environments
- Expertise in quality systems, audits, and compliance frameworks
- Experience in digital transformation and data-driven decision-making
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering (MBA preferred)
- 20–25+ years of experience in manufacturing/engineering industries
- Proven experience in Plant Head / GM / Operations Leadership roles
