Desired Qualification - Law Graduate / Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a reputed college/university.
Experience - 10 years of experience preferably in the education industry and having a blend of court practice and corporate experience.
Job responsibilities:
To manage Litigation and Part of Non-Litigation.
Disputes Resolution - Litigation Management:
- Regular and continuous interaction with Solicitors and Advocates and ensuring that strategies are implemented.
- Vetting of pleadings.
- Ensuring that pleadings are filed in Courts / Tribunals / Fora / Authorities within stipulated timelines.
- Maintenance and timely circulation of MIS with Litigation.
- Handling legal bills.
- Legal activities governing charity commissioning
Disputes Resolution - Non-Litigation Issue and Day to Day Query Resolution:
- Preparing replies to external communications.
- Comparing/reviewing/finalizing documentation and contracts as per the requirement of business.
- Research on the case laws and latest developments relating to education.
- Liaison with various Government and Non-Government Authorities.
- Maintenance and timely circulation of Query Resolution Tracker.
Contracts:
- Drafting of property documents, sale deed, trust deed, lease agreements, leave and license agreements, MOUs, TOSs, agreement to sale and other property documentation. Advise on land & property matters.
- Drafting of all commercial and legal documents as per the requirement of business to ensure that they are in accordance with the corresponding laws.
- Effectively validate the documentation pertaining to various business deals to ensure legal compliance and guide the management team on the same.
- Compliance of business contracts and obligations and guide on consequences of breach of any provisions, thereby protecting the organization from any legal ramifications.
- Advice, guide and assist all internal stakeholders/departments/sister concerns, Corporate Office, Zonal office, Centres/Schools on Legal matters
- Keep management updated on development periodically.
