Join Vultr
Vultr is seeking an experienced executive leader to build and lead our global Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC) organization from the ground up. This leader will design, launch, and scale a 24x7 operational command capability, with Chennai serving as the primary global operations center.
This is a transformational leadership role responsible for architecting the people, processes, systems, governance, and facilities that will support mission-critical global infrastructure operations as the company scales into large enterprise and strategic contracts.
The GM, Global NOC/SOC Operations will establish the operational backbone of the business and create a world-class global monitoring, incident response, escalation, and service assurance organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the global strategy for NOC/SOC operations aligned with company growth and customer commitments
- Design and scale a 24x7 global operating model for infrastructure and security monitoring
- Establish Chennai as the flagship global NOC/SOC command center, including site readiness and workforce deployment
- Build and lead the global NOC/SOC organization, including hiring plans, org design, staffing models, and shift coverage
- Develop and standardize incident management frameworks, escalation protocols, runbooks, SLAs, and KPIs
- Lead major incident command processes for customer-impacting outages and security events
- Drive operational excellence across monitoring, alert triage, event correlation, and incident resolution
- Continuously improve MTTR, uptime, service reliability, and incident prevention
- Select and implement NOC/SOC tooling (monitoring, observability, SIEM, orchestration, ticketing)
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, security, infrastructure, product, and data center teams
- Act as the executive escalation point during critical incidents and crisis events
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards (ISO, SOC 2) and customer contractual obligations
- Own service availability commitments tied to enterprise SLAs
- Build executive dashboards and reporting for leadership and board-level visibility
- Drive an automation-first approach to reduce manual intervention and improve scalability
Qualifications
- 15+ years of leadership experience in NOC, SOC, infrastructure, or mission-critical operations
- Proven track record building and scaling global NOC/SOC organizations from the ground up
- Deep expertise in 24x7, multi-region command center operations
- Experience leading large, distributed global teams
- Strong background in network operations, incident response, and service reliability
- Experience establishing physical command centers or global operations hubs (India/Chennai preferred)
- Background in hyperscale cloud, telecom, colocation, SaaS, or enterprise infrastructure environments
- Experience with SIEM, observability, and security automation tools preferred
- Prior experience at companies like AWS, Equinix, Digital Realty, or NTT Data is a plus
