About the Role:
You will be responsible for defining and implementing quality standards, conducting site visits, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maintain the highest standards of excellence in the finishing process. The incumbent will oversee the execution of finishing items and ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and Budget Management
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and budgets for finishing activities.
- Develop detailed finishing work schedules to ensure on time project completion.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion of finishing works.
- Monitor progress and ensure that finishing works are completed within the allocated time and budget.
Leadership and Project Management
- Lead and manage all aspects of finishes-related work for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the seamless execution of project finishes.
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Review and approve finishes schedules, including deadlines, procurement timelines, and material delivery schedules.
- Develop and implement quality control processes to monitor the installation and application of finishes.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, including junior finish specialists and site staff.
Support and collaborate for Material Selection
- Support selection of premium materials for both external and internal finishes that align with the projects aesthetic and functional goals
- Work closely with designers to ensure the material choices complement the overall design vision.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in high-end finishes.
- Maintain product excellence.
External Finishes & Facade Design
- Oversee the selection and application of external finishes for all assigned projects ensuring a high-quality and aesthetically cohesive outcome.
- Work with architects and structural teams to ensure finishes are in line with the architectural design and environmental considerations.
- Ensure the durability and maintenance of external finishes, accounting for weather conditions, long- term performance, and sustainability.
Interior Fit-outs
- Supervise the execution of luxury/commercial/residential interior fit-outs, ensuring that all finishes such as flooring, wall treatments, ceilings, and cabinetry are executed according to design specifications.
- Collaborate with interior designers to ensure that all design elements align with client expectations
- and design goals.
- Oversee the detailed installation of fixtures, fittings, and finishes, ensuring perfection in every detail.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor the quality of workmanship, material application, and adherence to design intent.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and subcontractors.
- Address any defects or issues promptly to maintain high-quality standards.
- Identify and resolve any issues related to finishes during the construction and fit-out phases.
- Implement procedures for ongoing maintenance and upkeep of finishes to preserve the quality of the projects.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 15-20 years of years of hands-on experience in finishing execution, quality assurance, preferably in high-end projects like luxury, malls, residential towers etc.
- Proven experience in - external finishes- and - luxury interior fit-outs
- Strong knowledge of high-end construction materials and finishes (e.g., marble, rare woods, fixtures, etc.)
- In-depth understanding of the entire construction and fit-out process, from design through to completion.
- Ability to interpret architectural and design plans and implement them with precision
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering superior quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
