About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented finance professional to join our organization as General Manager Finance / Manager Finance. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in financial reporting, MIS preparation, budgeting, statutory compliance, and overall financial management. The role requires analytical abilities, leadership skills, and proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
MIS and Reporting
- Prepare comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management.
- Develop dashboards and performance reports for decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of periodic reports.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor departmental budgets and cost controls.
Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
- Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
- Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings.
Cost Control and Analysis
- Analyze operational costs and identify opportunities for savings.
- Monitor profitability and financial performance across business units.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor finance and accounts team members.
- Establish efficient financial controls and processes.
Banking and Treasury
- Manage banking relationships and fund planning.
- Handle reconciliations, loan documentation, and treasury operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountancy / Cost and Management Accountancy / MBA Finance preferred.
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in finance and accounts.
- Strong proficiency in MIS preparation and financial analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, formulas).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP ERP, Oracle ERP, or TallyPrime.
- Thorough understanding of GST, TDS, and Income Tax provisions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Industry Experience
- Manufacturing, textile, mining, cement, or industrial sectors.
