About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionaryGeneral Manager (GM)to lead our business operations with a focus ongrowth, efficiency, and sustainability. As a key member of the leadership team, the GM will drive strategic initiatives, ensure operational excellence, and foster a high-performance culture aligned with the company's long-term objectives.
A strong understanding ofcarbon credit mechanisms,sustainability frameworks, andgovernment incentive schemesis essential, as these areas are central to our business strategy and environmental impact goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Drive the development and execution of business strategies to achieve growth, profitability, and sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align operations with long-term strategic plans.
- Identify market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive advantages to strengthen business positioning.
- Develop and execute strategies that leverage carbon credits, sustainability initiatives, and government programs for business and environmental impact.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting systems for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, ESG standards, and corporate governance policies.
Financial Management
- Manage P&L with accountability for revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost control.
- Prepare, monitor, and optimize budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Drive resource allocation to maximize ROI across business functions.
- Evaluate and implement opportunities for carbon credit monetization and green finance.
People & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team to achieve business goals and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Implement talent development and succession planning to strengthen organizational capabilities.
Business Development & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Drive business expansion through strategic partnerships, alliances, and new market entry.
- Engage with government departments, sustainability bodies, and international agencies for carbon trading and scheme participation.
- Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and sustainability events.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior general management or equivalent leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering business growth, operational efficiency, and sustainability transformation.
- Strong knowledge of carbon credit systems, trading mechanisms, and government incentive programs in renewable energy, waste management, and environmental sustainability.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
