General Manager - Business
Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on, execution-first business leader to own end-to-end partner execution across a large, complex portfolio of multi-city restaurant partners. This role is meant for atask-master with extreme ownership -someone who has personally done account management, can step into an AM role when required, and can fully represent the hiring manager across partner and internal execution forums.
The role will consolidate execution across a geographically distributed Account Management (AM) team, ensure consistent delivery against targets, and bringrigor, speed, and clarity to day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own Execution Across All Partner Accounts
. Act as the single point of ownership for execution quality, consistency, and outcomes across all partner accounts. . Translate business plans, targets, and initiatives into clear, trackable execution plans for AMs and geo leads. . Ensure weekly and monthly delivery against agreed KPIs including growth, retention, monetization, and partner experience.
2. Lead Account Managers Like a Practitioner
. Coach and manage AMs with strong role empathy, having personally done the AM role. . Step into AM responsibilities directly when needed-especially for complex partners, escalations, or high-stakes conversations. . Continuously raise the execution bar through clear prioritization, tight follow-ups, and high accountability.
3. Be the Face of Execution for Partners
. Represent the business in key partner forums including reviews, escalations, negotiations, and planning discussions. . Build credibility with senior partner stakeholders through data-backed narratives, clarity of thought, and reliable execution. . Own partner issue resolution end-to-end without hand-offs or ambiguity.
4. Drive Data-Led Decision Making
. Develop a deep understanding of partner performance metrics, cohort behavior, unit economics, and execution levers. . Ensure AMs and geo leads use data correctly in reviews, decision-making, and partner conversations. . Proactively identify execution gaps through data and intervene early and decisively.
5. Ruthless Execution Discipline
. Run tight operating rhythms including WBRs, MBRs, action trackers, and escalation reviews. . Ensure initiatives do not stall due to unclear ownership, slow follow-ups, or execution gaps. . Operate comfortably in high-speed, high-complexity environments with multiple parallel priorities.
6. Act as a True Second-in-Command
. Function as a complete execution and partner-management backup to the hiring manager. . Take independent decisions aligned with overall business goals. . Be a leader the senior leadership team can fully rely on for delivery-not supervision.
Ideal Candidate Profile
. 8-12+ years of experience in account management, category management, or business operations in a high-scale, multi-city setup (e-commerce, food-tech, marketplaces preferred). . Proven track record of owning execution across large partner portfolios. . Strong people manager with hands-on execution depth. . Highly data-driven with the ability to translate insights into action. . Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with high ownership.
