Position Title: General Ledger (GL) Accountant

Reports to: Finance Manager / GL Team Lead

Location: Hyderabad - On-site.

Shift: US Shift - 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Perform end-to-end General Accounting tasks including Journal Entry preparation and posting, GL reconciliations, Fixed Assets accounting, and reporting.
  • Execute and validate Sub Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliationscovering accruals, prepayments, intercompany, bank, and other accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data aligned with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Manage Fixed Assets accounting: capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and roll-forwards.
  • Conduct transaction matching and variance analysis to support accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Participate in Month-End Close (MEC) processes: accruals, reclasses, adjustments, and MEC dashboard reporting.
  • Maintain strict adherence to SLA and KPI targets across all assigned responsibilities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, AR, FP&A, and external auditors as needed.
  • Interpret and analyze financial data quickly to offer clear insights and solutions.
  • Ensure proper documentation, audit trails, and compliance with internal controls.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 23 years of hands-on experience in General Ledger accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance preferred).
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JDE) is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong time management, organizational ability, and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and data integrity.
