Role Description This is a part-time, on-site General Dentist role based in Vijayanagara. The General Dentist will perform routine examinations, diagnose dental conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include providing restorative care (fillings, crowns), root canals especially ,crown preparation ,preventive services (prophylaxis, fluoride, sealants), simple extractions, and basic emergency care. The dentist will educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options, ensuring clear and empathetic communication. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to infection control and sterilization protocols, collaborating with dental assistants and other staff, and contributing to a safe, respectful, and inclusive clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid dental degree (BDS or equivalent with 5 yrs experience) from an accredited institution and current license/eligibility to practice as a General Dentist as per local regulations.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, preventive care, and routine extractions.
  • Strong patient communication skills, with the ability to explain treatment options clearly and provide compassionate, inclusive care to individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages.
  • Solid knowledge of infection control, sterilization standards, and clinical safety protocols, with consistent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based setting, collaborating with dental assistants and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills to manage part-time schedules, prioritize cases, and handle occasional urgent or walk-in patients.
  • Comfort with basic digital tools such as electronic health records or practice management systems; willingness to learn new systems as needed.
  • Prior experience in a general dentistry practice or community clinic is preferred, though early-career dentists with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
