Job Title – Architect - Gen AI

Architect - Gen AI: The Gen AI Architect will be part of the GENAI Digital Commerce
Team, responsible for defining the architecture, strategy, and governance of AI-powered
solutions across eCommerce and Digital platforms. This role will lead the design and
implementation of enterprise-scale Gen AI solutions, leveraging Large and Small
Language Models (LLMs) and AI services such as OpenAI, Claude, Grok, Gemini,
Perplexity, ElevenLabs, and Ollama. The Architect will collaborate closely with
engineering teams, data scientists and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure &
high-performance AI systems.

Responsibilities:
Define end-to-end architecture for Gen AI–powered applications and platforms.
Design scalable, secure, and resilient AI solution architectures aligned with business
goals.
Select and standardize LLM platforms, frameworks, and tooling across the
organization.
Establish architectural patterns for RAG, agents, fine-tuning, prompt orchestration,
and inference pipelines.
Lead adoption of Gen AI tech including OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Perplexity,
ElevenLabs, and Ollama.
Drive model selection, fine-tuning strategies, and optimization approaches.
Define best practices for AI performance, cost optimization, latency, and scalability.
Address AI governance challenges including model drift, bias, explainability, and
compliance.
Architect and oversee deployment of AI systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Define MLOps architecture for CI/CD, model lifecycle management, monitoring, and
retraining.
Establish standards for containerization, orchestration & infrastructure automation
using Docker & Kubernetes

Design API-first and microservices-based architectures to integrate AI with front-end
and backend systems.
Define architecture for data pipelines, feature stores, and vector databases.
Guide teams on data preprocessing, storage, and retrieval for AI training and
inference.
Ensure integration with NoSQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB,
etc.).
Review designs, conduct architectural governance, and ensure adherence to
standards.

Qualification and Experience:
Minimum 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, with 4+ years in AI /
ML / Gen AI solutions.
Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale AI architectures.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Gen AI platforms: OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity,
Grok, Ollama, ElevenLabs.
Expertise in Python and/or JavaScript for AI and platform development.
Deep understanding of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras).
Strong experience with MLOps, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native
architectures.
Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience in eCommerce, Digital Commerce, or Digital Banking is highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Master's preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong ability to influence architectural and business decisions & Customer-centric &
outcome-driven mindset.
