Role Description The Gem Tender Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This role involves managing the end-to-end tender process on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, including tender identification, evaluation of requirements, and timely bid submission. The specialist will prepare and review proposals, coordinate with internal teams for technical and commercial inputs, and ensure compliance with procurement guidelines and company policies. Daily responsibilities include maintaining tender documentation, tracking tender status, following up on clarifications, and supporting negotiations as needed. The role also requires regular reporting on tender activities and contributing to process improvements for tender management efficiency.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Tender Management and Procurement skills, including experience with GeM portal or similar e-procurement platforms.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret tender documents, assess risks, and compare technical and commercial terms.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders and interact professionally with clients and authorities.
• Candidates should possess Proposal Writing skills to prepare clear, accurate, and compliant technical and financial submissions.
• Relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing sectors (preferably valves, water or infrastructure-related products) is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work to strict deadlines are required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic digital tools; familiarity with tender documentation formats and government procurement norms is an advantage.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, commerce, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
